North Avenue, approximately two miles west of Interstate 83 and six miles east of the I-70/I-695 junction in Baltimore City. Driving directions to campus can be found at the university's website. Friday's events and Saturday's panels will be hosted on the third floor of the campus's Health and Human Services Building, located on the south side of North Ave.
By TransitCoppin State is primarily accessible by public transit via the CityLink Gold route, as there is a stop in front of campus at the intersection of W. North Avenue and N. Thomas Ave. Other transit options are available through LocalLink bus routes and the Metro SubwayLink, and we recommend downloading the Transit app to learn more. Lyft and Uber are also available for transportation throughout Baltimore City. | ParkingParking for attendees is included as part of the overall conference registration fee. The recommended lots are B and C, which are marked with a star in the screenshot below. Lot B is located on the north side of North Ave. and is accessible from the three-way intersection at N. Thomas Avenue. It is situated closer to the J. Millard Tawes Center. In the event of inclement weather, the Connector Bridge (marked as CB in the image below) allows for direct access to Health and Human Services' second floor from Lot B. Lot C is located next to the Health and Human Services Building and is accessible from Presbury Street, which is one block south of the four-way intersection at North Ave. and N. Warwick Avenue. Walking between Tawes and the Health and Human Services Building takes about 5-7 minutes. |
The Mill on North food hall, located next to Coppin State, features six different vendors selling soul food, sandwiches, burgers, cocktails, desserts, and more. The Mondawmin Mall, located just north of campus, also features several fast casual eateries like TGI Friday’s, Popeye’s, and Dunkin Donuts.
