Rebecca Nowacek is a native Middle States scholar, who did her undergraduate work at Villanova University and was in the Villanova University Writing Center’s inaugural cohort of writing center tutors with Karyn Hollis. She says it makes her heart glad to look forward to this conversation with Philly area colleagues.
Nowacek is the author of Agents of Integration: Understanding Transfer as a Rhetorical Act (2011), “Threshold Concepts in the Writing Center: Scaffolding the Development of Tutor Expertise,” as well as the author of numerous articles and chapters on Writing Center theory and administration.
Elizabeth Wardle is the author of several books in Rhetoric, Composition, and Writing Program Administration, most recently, (Re)Considering What We Know: Learning Thresholds in Writing, Composition, and Literacy (2019).
