Lodging

We have a room block at The Radnor Hotel, which is a 15-minute drive from campus. Call (610) 688-5800 and mention the MAWCA23 conference when making your reservation.

King room: $179.00 plus tax

Double room: $199.00 plus tax

Complimentary parking and a free continental breakfast included. Check in after 3 p.m.; check out by 11 a.m.

Transportation from the hotel: Unfortunately, there isn't a shuttle from the Radnor Hotel to campus. Uber or Lyft is the best option for attendees without cars. If you're driving and have extra room in your vehicle, please offer a seat to a conference-goer without a car.

Not staying at the Radnor? You can find affordable rooms in King of Prussia (25-min. drive) or Bala Cynwyd (20-min. drive) on sites such as Booking.com, Hotels.com, or Kayak.com.

Parking

Parking is free and plentiful on campus. We recommend parking in the lot behind Radnor Hall. The Radnor lot is adjacent to Park Science Center, where the conference is being held.

There's only one entrance to the Radnor lot, located on New Gulph Rd. Type "Campus Center Bryn Mawr College" into Google Maps for directions. When you enter from New Gulph Rd, immediately turn right. You'll pass through a small parking lot to reach the Campus Center, and the Radnor lot will be straight ahead and slightly downhill from the Campus Center.

View a campus map.

Handicap parking spots are located right next to the path from the Radnor lot to Park Science Center. You'll notice that the wheelchair-accessible path is a gentle curve to the left, whereas the non-wheelchair path is steep.

travel

By Car

Bryn Mawr College is in the Philadelphia suburbs, 30 minutes west of the city. Click here for directions from points north, south, east, and west.

Note: if you're coming from Center City, Google or Siri might suggest exit 337 through Gladwyne. Avoid that route unless you're in the mood for a steep, curvy, scenic drive. It is pretty, though.

By Train

The Bryn Mawr train station is on the SEPTA Paoli-Thornedale Regional Rail Line. Park Science Center is a 15-minute walk from the station.

Arriving on the westbound line from Philadelphia:

Exit the train and walk straight ahead toward Montgomery Ave. Cross Montgomery Ave at the crosswalk, and go straight down Morris Ave. Turn left on Yarrow St. and walk one block. When Yarrow dead-ends at Merion Ave, cross the street and walk through the archway of Rockefeller Hall. Continue following the path uphill, keeping Old Library on your left. Turn left at the corner of Old Library and walk along the front of the building until you're standing in front of Canaday Library. If you're wildly adventurous and don't care about your shoes, you could walk diagonally across the giant green to your left to reach Park. But we suggest walking up the campus driveway and turning left onto the path in front of Merion Hall. The path takes you past the Campus Center (on your right) and downhill to the main entrance of Park Science.

Arriving on the eastbound line from Paoli/Thorndale:

Exit the train and look for a staircase near the ticket office building that leads under the tracks.
When you reach the other side of the tracks, follow the directions above.
